Photo SubmissionWhat kind of photos do you need?Please see our Photo Guidelines I want to buy a custom action figure. When and where do I submit my photos?You can upload your portrait photos directly to our website to see your 3D Face for free. You can try uploading various photo combinations to see which one works best. When you are happy with the results, click on the Buy button on your chosen 3D Face to select it. Or use the Face Selector in the Store to select it. Your chosen 3D Face will appear as selected in the checkout process. Alternatively, you can place your order and email us the photos by following the instructions in the order confirmation email. I'm still waiting for my 3D Face?Creating a realistic 3D Face from photographs is a complex and computation-intensive task. Your face is now probably in our queue waiting to be processed and rendered by our servers. If an unforeseen error occured, you might need to resubmit it. Attention: ThatsMyFace has recently received a surge of interest so please be patient. You'll be notified by email when it is complete. We are in the process of scaling up our infrastructure so don't despair! I can't place the facial points with Internet Explorer 6...You might experience varying levels of functionality if you use browsers other than
Firefox 2/3 or Internet Explorer 7+. We've tried our best to ensure compatibility
with other browsers such as Internet Explorer 6, Opera, Chrome and Safari, but there might
still be a few glitches that we're due to iron out. If in doubt, the latest version of free browser Firefox will give the most reliable

we can retouch them to remove shadowing, blemishes, red-eyes, soften wrinkles or
remove shine, to name a few. Prices start at $30 per photo.

Can I submit photos of pets, cartoons, monsters or non-human faces?You can try uploading these for free, but the results probably most likely won't be realistic as our system is geared towards human faces. The system is quite tolerant of cartoony/weird skin colors, but the general shape of the face should remain within the range of possible human faces. This is why cat or dog photos won't work.
ProductsWhat are the models made of?The 3D Portraits and Heads are made are made of a hard resin composite. The finish determines the final feel on touch of the model. A shiny varnish or wax finish will make it feel smooth, whereas a matte varnish will give it a sugar-coated feel. A transparent plastic coating finish will give a smooth, rubbery feel. Why are some of these premium-priced products?
Most items, such as action figures or masks, available in stores are mass-produced,
enabling substantial cost savings. The initial design and engineering costs are
amortized over time and quantity. A single set of molds (costing thousands itself) produces thousands of identical
items quickly and cheaply.
Custom Action FiguresCan you do custom outfits?We do offer custom outfits for our action figures. It is available as the Custom and Custom Plus outfit option in the Male Outfits and Female Outfits tab on the Custom Action Figure page. In order to offer low prices, we use existing action figure clothing we have in stock to outfit our figurines. Tailoring custom figurine clothing is not within the budget of our products and is a service we do not offer. However, we do offer T-shirts with your custom logo/photo/lettering on them which is available if you pick the Custom Plus outfit option. What hairstyles do you offer in hairscuplts?Please visit our current selection of hairsculpts which are available in multiple colors. I can't find my exact hairstyle in your available template hairstyles. Can you create my hairstyle?We do offer the service to design specific hairstyles for customers. Our expert 3D designer spends between 1 to 3 days in general per hairstyle. Prices per hairstyle commission start at $150 and costs increase depending on the complexity of the hairstyle. Alternatively, you can order the synthetic wig hair option and style it to your liking. PrivacyHow do I make my photos private?First log in, then in the 'My Faces' menu option, select the facial profile you'd like private or semi-private. In the first box where your source photos and details are shown, there's an option called "Privacy Settings". Click on it and a set of controls should appear and allow you to set your profile to private so that only you can see it when you are logged in, or semi-private so that only people who you send a link to this profile can know about it.
If the Privacy Settings options somehow does not appear/expand, please try again with the following browsers: FireFox 2+ or Internet Explorer 7. Alternatively, to make ALL your facial profiles (included failed or partially submitted ones) PRIVATE so that only you can see them, go to Make All Private. More Details: You can choose to make only your original source photo (i.e. the ones of real self, not our synthetic reconstruction) private so as to keep the slideshow/bookmarking/commenting functionality and so that your face is included in the website rankings and lookalikes. Note that the privacy options are settable right from the photo submission form, just below the name and gender fields. By default, the profiles are public. How do I delete my account?Note that you can set your images to 'Private' so that no one else can see them and they won't be accessible by search engines. Please refer to How do I make my photos private? for details. You can also automatically make all your photos private and unsubscribe yourself from our mailing-list.
